Inaccurate or unfair items on your credit report can really have a negative impact on your credit score.  A poor credit score can result in higher interest rates, which in turn can cost you thousands per year.

With today’s economic challenges, it’s a necessity to have and maintain a good credit score. Lexington Law can help you remove many items from your credit report, including the following:

  • Late Payments
  • Collections
  • Liens
  • Repossessions
  • Bankruptcy
  • Charge-Offs
  • Judgments

To see the full list of their services, visit their website or call the company at 1-833-333-8277.

How Does Their Service Work?

  • Free Case Evaluation: Once you sign up with Lexington Law, their experts will help you obtain your credit reports from the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) at no additional charge.  The law requires credit bureaus to provide consumers with one free copy of their credit report per year. Lexington Law will then collect information about the circumstances surrounding each questionable item in the credit report.
  • Legal Action: After the firm’s lawyers review your credit report, they will immediately begin generating “dispute letters” to all three credit bureaus. These carefully crafted strategies result in a higher success rate.
  • Results Monitoring: Once you’ve signed up with Lexington Law, you will receive access to an online web interface, where you can track your progress in real time. Everything is completely transparent, and you can easily see the status of every credit dispute.
  • Personalized Advice: If you’re a Premier customer (see section on “How Much does Lexington Law Cost?” below), the company will also send you a monthly credit score improvement analysis and give you access to their paralegal team for coaching on how to improve your credit history.

What Type of Results Can You Expect?

When evaluating a credit-repair company, the biggest indicator to look at is the success rate among clients. Here are some facts to consider about Lexington Law’s credit-repair service:

  • Over 7 million negative items removed from credit reports in 2020.
  • Clients experience an average of 10.2 items removed within 4 months.
  • A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
  • Over 27 years of experience in credit restoration.

How Much Does Lexington Law Cost?

This company offers three different levels of service.  The best service for you will depend on your individual situation.

  • Concord Standard at $89.95 Per Month: This plan is called “The Concord Standard” and is their basic level of service. In addition to communication with the credit bureaus, this service also includes several legal interventions targeted at your creditors. This multipronged approach helps increase the likelihood of negative items being removed from your credit report.
  • Concord Premier at $109.95 Per Month: This service plan is called “The Concord Premier” and aims to do a little more than just addressing your credit reports with creditors and credit bureaus. This service plan offers additional benefits, such as monthly credit monitoring and identity-theft insurance.
  • PremierPlus at $129.95 Per Month: This is Lexington Law’s most expensive (and comprehensive) offering. In addition to everything you get with Premier, you can request support with cease-and-desist letters, better data security, and more.

While there isn’t a huge jump in cost between these tiers, it’s still important to do your own research, determine your needs, and then figure out the plan that’s best for you.

Is Credit Repair Risky?

Some people are concerned if credit repair is risky — or even legal. The answer? No financial decisions are without risk, but credit repair is certainly a viable and legal path that many people take.

Passed in 1970, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) governs the collection of credit information and access to personal credit histories. The goal of the FCRA is to make sure that the data contained in credit reporting agencies’ files are fair and accurate.

To this end, the FCRA offers many reasons for disputing negative credit items, including if a particular item is:

  • Inaccurate
  • Incomplete
  • Unverifiable
  • Untimely
  • Biased
  • Misleading

Credit repair companies like Lexington Law, Sky Blue Credit, and CreditRepair.com have emerged to help individuals who might not be familiar with the details of the FCRA ensure that their data is correct.

Is Lexington Law Worth It?

Considering the big impact a bad credit score can have on your personal finances, we definitely think that Lexington Law’s credit-repair service is worth the price. Their service plans are affordable for most consumers and are in line with its competitors.

What makes Lexington Law different?

One of the main things that makes Lexington Law different from other credit repair companies is their expertise in both consumer advocacy and credit law.  In addition, they will deal with any harassing communications from creditors and collections companies.  Now, this is a standard service offered by most credit repair companies. With that being said, there is a perceived seriousness when a cease and desist letter comes from a law firm.  There is a certain amount of clout that surrounds a firm like Lexington law.

In conclusion, with over 27 years of experience and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, we have confidence in recommending Lexington Law.  If you’re still on the fence, give their team a call and get a free case evaluation to see if they can help you.

As financial technologies evolves, Lexington Law also has educational resources to help users track their progress online and make faster and more secure payments.

I placed a security freeze on my credit report in 2007. I just recently started establishing new credit after 11 years, as all previous credit passed the 7/10 year mark and all gone. TU apparently removed the security freeze, but have 1 account with TU no score. Equifax 1 acct 562 score so credit Karma says. Experian will not respond to 6 requests by mail to remove the freeze, Experian also has my file under my old EIN and is incorrect. Annual credit report wont work. Experian returned mail 3 po boxes were no good. I recently sent Experian 4 more letters to there street address. Credit Sesame doesn’t work either. Cannot get a live person on the phone with Experian. Adding for accounts. But need Experian to remove EIN and add correct ssn and remove freeze.

My credit rating is ecxellent. (FICO says 784). I’m trying to see what I can do to exceed 800. What can you do? Why would I need your service on a monthly basis and not just a one time fee?

I’m trying to help my son repair his credit. A few years ago he helped us with some stuff by putting things in his name and unfortunately due to some serious financial issues, we were not able to stay afloat and therefore his credit was damaged which I have felt guilty about all this time. We are now in a position to fix things and I was wondering if I would be able to work with you on getting his credit fixed and things paid up and/or taken care. Before I contacted the companies directly, I wanted to get some insight from you on this.
